Thank you for considering a sponsorship. There are 2 main categories for sponsorships for 2011-2012. Several others sponsorships are in development.

1. Homepage Sponsorship. These start at $100 for 2 years. They are seen by all people who land on the home page. A great value for any business, anywhere. Works for web-only stores and brick-and-mortar locations. They can help your business with brand building,  findability and sales.
2. Local Community Sponsors. These start at $196 for 1 year per community. These target the specific community(s) you serve like a laser. They are limited: There are a maximum of 10 sponsors per community. First come, first serve.  You can purchase as many as you like in any community that has available spots. Works best for brick-and-mortor locations, any size. Restaurants, clothing, franchises, hobbies, automotive, banks, grocery, etc, etc, etc. These help your business on the street level if you use the space to run promotions, or coupons etc. These will work extremely well with monthly sponsor specials.

The following sponsorships are in development. Monthly Sponsor Specials to help some of the local business sponsors attract even more customers. These include sponsor ads above the right sidebar, and ads that appear between the comic strips.  I hope to have them ready by January.

The Land of Url  Sponsorship Opportunity

There are a total of 383,200 pixels in Url’s tree leaves.  Call 330.562.8387 to set up a 2 year sponsorship for as little as $100.

HOW DOES THE HOMEPAGE SPONSORSHIP WORK?

You are purchasing a specific space on the homepage for 2 years.  Minimum $100.00 (100 pixels). See this page for size samples. It is an image (logo, etc) and/or text and a hyperlink with title tag copy (text appears with mouseover). Text could be your business name, or a category (hair, auto repair, etc), or  a tagline (best pizza, super deals, etc). Try to think of something to motivate people to click. It’s best if the link takes the audience to your website or a coupon page. I can help you if you need  a page for the link.

SPECIALS

1. All sponsors who purchase a homepage sponsor space before December 31  receives 1 additional year at no charge. That’s 3 years of front page exposure. 3 years of link juice for your business web site.
2. If a local business spends $600 or more on a homepage sponsor spot they’ll receive 1 year placement in local markets. To qualify, the business or organization must operate and serve in local communities.

Terms and Conditions

1. The minimum purchase is $100 (100 pixels). The maximum purchase is whatever remains of the 383,200 pixels in the green leaves area of the tree.
2. When you sponsor these pixels you will not own any part of the homepage or this site. You are granted the right to display an image (text and/or logo if legible) and hyperlink which will be published on the homepage in the respective space for which you paid.
3. You cannot change the image or link once you have agreed to them so you must be sure of the image and link you want on the homepage. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc. Otherwise, your image and link will be on the homepage for at least 2 years.
4. No obscene/offensive/gambling/adult images/links will be accepted. I decide what is appropriate for this site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative. Otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose the sponsorship opportunity.
5. If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/gambling/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime.
6. If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage you cannot get a refund.
7. In the future, after the sponsorship image/link is published you can request the image and link be removed from the homepage but you will not get a refund and the space will become publicly available again.
8. You may submit an image for reference but I will create the final image as per The Land of Url’s brand.
9. If an image is submitted it must be in GIF, JPEG or PNG format and a reasonable file size.
10. You must approve on the final image before it is published. If we cannot agree to a satisfactory design, your money will be refunded.
11. Images will not be animated.
12. Images will be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10×10 pixels, or 2000 pixels = 200×10 pixels, 20×100, 100×20, etc)
13. Hyperlinks must link to web pages only. Images cannot link to files that download or documents.
14. You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit.
15. Funds must be fully received and cleared before your sponsorship can go live on the homepage.
16. There might be occasional downtime for site maintenance. This will be kept to a minimum.
17. Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in  bank account), I will aim to get your sponsorship online within 24-48hrs. Please have patience if I get backlogged during a peak order period.
